The Maryland Osprey and Nature Festival is a grassroots movement by the citizens throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The support and collaboration of our local government, state wide conservation and wildlife rehabilitation agencies, local, and international businesses and military community share our goals and mission: Education.Conservation.Celebration of our beautiful surroundings, and nature, and wildlife.

Osprey – Official Town Bird

Yes we did! On March 16, 2022 the Town of Colonial Beach made it official. Mayor Robin Schick and Town Council named the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) the official town bird. Here is the proclamation:
